Brittany Curran joins the thriller Backmask

Brittany Curran has taken the female lead in Marcus Nispel's upcoming thriller Backmask.

The film was written by Kirsten Elms and follows a group of teens who release an evil demon that takes over their bodies. Marcus Nispel is directing with Steven Schneider (Insidious) producing.

Marcus Nispel is best known for directing 2009's Friday the 13th and Conan the Barbarian. The actress was made famous for her role as Lucy on the TNT series Men of a Certain Age.

Production started in Rhode Island on June 4.
